Guest Ratings & Reviews
I stayed at the hotel and found it to be a decent choice overall. The room I booked for £75 on a B&B basis was a bit cramped and old-fashioned, with narrow space making some things inconvenient. However, the service provided was exceptional, with the staff being incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The location was suitable for my needs, despite occasional noise, and the dining experience had its ups and downs. The facilities met my basic requirements, making my stay comfortable and convenient.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although clean and comfortable, felt old-fashioned and lacking maintenance, with a persistent smell of cigarette smoke. On the bright side, the service was exceptional, with accommodating and friendly staff always eager to assist. The location, while not ideal in terms of proximity to the center, was convenient for exploring the area. Dining options were decent, with some hits and misses in the menu. Overall, a stay with its charm and flaws.
I was extremely grateful for the brilliant room which fitted two grandparents and a very lively four-year-old grandchild. The rooms were nice, clean, and tastefully appointed. The service was wonderful, with friendly and helpful staff. The location, near the Hadrian's Wall Path but out of the city center, offered a good mix of city and countryside. The dining experience was very impressive with delicious hot meals. A few cons included the distance from the center of Carlisle and being on a housing estate.
